Mr. Brand is an Engineering Technologist with over 26 years of experience in all aspects of oil and gas operations including extensive “hands on” experience and technical expertise in opportunity identification, well optimization, facility optimization, project management, well completions/stimulations, reservoir management, and joint ventures.
Prior to co-founding Midlake, Mr. Brand worked in partnership with Cord Oil & Gas Management Limited and provided a full range of consulting services to a wide variety of energy companies and financial institutions. During his 21-year tenure at Unocal Canada Limited, Mr. Brand directed a number of major departments that managed over 15,000 BOED of operated production and managed capital budgets in excess of $100 million per year. Mr. Brand has also held positions at Amoco Petroleum Limited and Otis Engineering Limited.
Mr. Brand is a graduate of Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Hydrocarbon Engineering Technology and has since completed a number of professional development programs.
